Hall Estill

Kelly Burks joined Hall Estill in December 2014. She works in all areas of civil litigation, primarily focusing on labor & employment and healthcare-related torts. She has worked in the legal field for approximately 20 years, and as a paralegal and trial technician for 18 of those. She is a member of the firm’s Tech Committee, and has a special interest in all aspects of the discovery process, including eDiscovery.

Kelly began her legal career in 2003 as a Medical Records Clerk at Johnson & Hanan, P.C. In 2005 she moved into a dual role as both Paralegal and Trial Technician, focusing on complex medical malpractice defense. She gained significant trial experience not only in Oklahoma, but also out of state, including Nevada, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, West Virginia, Ohio, and Florida. She became a Certified Paralegal through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) in 2013, and has been a member of NALA since 2014. Kelly also is an active member of the Central Oklahoma Association of Legal Assistants (COALA) since 2014, and has served on COALA’s Executive Board since 2018.
