Artificial intelligence (AI) systems are becoming increasingly common in areas relating to human creativity. Many forms of con-tent can be generated by AI systems, including text-based content, audio, video, images, programming code, technical papers, and so on. AI systems have the ability to learn from vast amounts of data, identify patterns, and generate new content based on those patterns. As AI systems continue to become more sophisticated, these systems will continue to raise fundamental issues regarding copyright protection for both the output content generated by the systems and the input data used to generate such content.
