The Oklahoma Supreme Court has overturned Oklahoma’s ESG law, ruling that public retirement funds must be managed solely for the benefit of retirees.

The decision stems from a legal challenge brought by Collin Walke, an attorney with Hall Estill, who argued the law improperly allowed political considerations to influence investment decisions.

At issue was the Energy Discrimination and Elimination Act, a 2022 law designed to restrict state business with financial firms accused of boycotting oil and gas companies. Watch HERE
