Dustin Perry began his career with Hall Estill in 2012 and practices primarily in the Litigation arena.  Through his work, he assists clients in handling both complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation matters. Dustin frequently advises loan servicers and lenders with regard to contested foreclosure litigation at the trial court level and on appeal.  In addition, Dustin represents clients in numerous oil and gas bankruptcy cases throughout the United States. He is a member of the firm's Recruitment & Diversity Committee and has been recognized as a Rising Star in General Litigation by Oklahoma Super Lawyers.

Highlights of Dustin’s career include:

  • Frequently defends mortgage loan trusts and lenders in cases brought by borrowers involving allegations of fraud, TILA, RESPA, consumer protection, and breach of contract
  • Represented mortgage loan trust in a successful appeal to the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals overturning the trial court’s dismissal of case with prejudice - Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., as Trustee v. Theresa Kindle, et al., 2014 OK CIV APP 67, 332 P.3d 302
  • Successfully represented lender on appeal to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals in a tax foreclosure matter brought by the United States
  • Attorney in charge of electronic discovery in the defense of a class action lawsuit brought by royalty interest owners
  • Represented clients in multiple significant bankruptcy cases, including ATP Oil & Gas Corporation, Magnum Hunter Resources Corporation, Samson Resources, Ultra Petroleum Corp., Chaparral Energy, Inc., and Linn Energy
  • Prosecuted and defended avoidance actions in bankruptcy cases
