We have developed a network of reliable and reputable law firms, banks and specialized consulting entities - including engineering and investment consortiums - in Latin America, which allow us to provide our clients top quality, expedient, and effective counsel and assistance throughout the region.
Export Administration
We provide companies that wish to export goods and services outside the U.S. assistance with those ventures. Our attorneys are familiar with all regulations surrounding the export of goods and services. We can assist clients in determining which materials are controlled under the Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security Export Administration Regulations, as well as any export licensing companies need.
We have deep expertise in dealing with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, including its U.S. Munitions List, as well as the Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Asset Controls. Finally, we assist clients with the Census Bureau's Export Declaration Regulations and its Automated Export System.
Foreign Investments, Trans-border & Multinational Transactions
We provide U.S. and foreign investors expert advice on cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, mergers, banking and credit operations, and privatizations of public enterprises, as well as applicable regulatory and tax considerations. We advise clients with respect to foreign investment in the U.S. and we also advise clients on the political environment and risks in investment host countries.
Our attorneys counsel and represent clients on matters before U.S. agencies and Congress, including trade and financial disputes and other issues. We are also active in Government Contract practice, including, but not limited to, regulatory drafting and interpretation, as well as the procurement process under the Federal Acquisition Regulations and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations. Further, we are experienced in representing international clients seeking such advice and counsel.
