He has significant experience in insurance defense, pipeline explosion litigation, oil and gas litigation, construction litigation, and condemnation litigation.

Significant highlights of his legal career include:

  • Part of Plaintiff teams that won the two largest Plaintiff’s verdicts in Oklahoma and Arkansas to date. $1 billion in Oklahoma over a failed merger of two major oil companies, and $109 million in an Arkansas class action against an Arkansas utility.
  • Won or settled all cases over the past 7 years.
  • Defended a Geotechnical consulting firm against a $1.5 million damage claim by a municipality. Settled for less than $11,000.
  • Defended a pipeline service company in an explosion killing a young man, who was a single father, with serious burns in South Texas. Initially his client was the target defendant. When the case was settled, Mr. Eliot’s client paid the least of any defendant.
  • Representation of the FDIC and RTC for over ten years.
  • A jury verdict of over $1 million on a contract dispute over acquisition of a pipeline system where the client’s investment was $25,000.
