Rachel C. Mathis

Ms. Mathis joined the firm as a shareholder in January 2010.  Prior to that time, she had been a partner with a local defense firm for nine years.  She has a broad litigation practice and has handled hundreds of cases involving products liability, construction, bad faith, coverage, medical and professional liability, liquor liability, directors and officers liability, employment, auto and premises liability. Her clients range in size from small local businesses and individuals to nationwide companies.  She is a proven trial lawyer, taking numerous cases to jury verdict in several counties throughout the State of Oklahoma and in federal court.

In addition to her litigation prowess, Ms. Mathis assists companies, lawyers and professionals on matters such as insurance coverage, employment contracts, and personnel matters.  She also has several published decisions relating to matters which include insurance bad faith, products liability, premises liability, and employment discrimination.

Ms. Mathis has been recognized as a Rising Star in 2009 and a Super Lawyer in 2010 & 2011 by Super Lawyers in Civil Litigation Defense. In addition, in 2011 she was named a Top 25 Female Attorney in Oklahoma by Super Lawyers. Further, she is listed in "Best's Directory of Insurance Lawyers," and she has an AV-peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
