Marshall J. Wells
Mr. Wells has been practicing in the Labor & Employment field for more than 10 years. During law school, Mr. Wells obtained a limited license to practice law and was permitted to engage in a number of litigation activities prior to his graduation. He is a BV-rated attorney through Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized as an Oklahoma Rising Star in Employment & Labor by Super Lawyers. He is a frequent speaker at seminars on employment and workplace issues.
Prior to joining the Firm in 1998, Mr. Wells practiced in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, with an emphasis in insurance related matters. In 2000, Mr. Wells expanded his practice and joined the Labor & Employment Law Section, where he now handles various employment litigation matters. He has provided legal services to numerous clients, both in providing employment counseling and advice and by working on employment litigation matters.
Mr. Wells has authored numerous publications, including: “Oklahoma Defense Law - Friendly Suits, and Settlement of Minor’s Claims,” presented to Oklahoma insurance claims adjusters and representatives, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Winter 1998; and “Unproven Causation: Alternative Theories of Recovery In Oklahoma”, presented to Oklahoma insurance claims adjusters and representatives, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1997. Finally, he served as an instructor for “Oklahoma Defense Law - Intricacies of Interpleader,” presented to Oklahoma insurance claims adjusters and representatives, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Winter 1998. Since 2000, Mr. Wells has spoken at numerous seminars related to employment and workplace issues on topics including: FMLA, ADA and workers’ compensation compliance issues; employer record-keeping requirements; FLSA overtime requirements; and Title VII.
