Garry L. Keele, II
Mr. Keele concentrates his Environmental Law practice on compliance, enforcement, permitting, rulemaking and transactional matters. He is frequently engaged by clients to assist with regulatory concerns involving agencies and in jurisdictions throughout the region, but also provides support in environmental and energy litigation. He regularly counsels clients in matters of environmental and regulatory due diligence associated with commercial transactions including financings, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Mr. Keele provides legal counsel on matters of air quality, water quality, hazardous waste, solid waste and remediation to domestic and international clients in the energy, industrial, manufacturing, banking and government sectors. He has experience in the activated charcoal production, aerospace, automotive, ceramics, chemicals, electric generation (coal, gas, hydro and renewable), forest/engineered-wood products, glass products, metal products, mining, oil and gas [exploration and production (upstream), transportation and fractionation (mid-stream) and refining (downstream)], off-road equipment, plastics, synthetic fuels, and solid waste incineration industries.
Mr. Keele is a shareholder at Hall Estill and a member of the firm’s Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources practice group and Alternative/Renewable Energy practice group. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Keele worked as an environmental attorney at the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality for 10 years.
Mr. Keele is a past Chairperson and Chairperson Elect for the Oklahoma Bar Association Environmental Law Section and is a frequent speaker and author on environmental topics. He serves as a mentor for students at the University of Tulsa College of Law. Further, Mr. Keele is ranked as a top attorney in Environmental Law by Chambers USA and has an individual AV peer review rating through Martindale Hubbell.
