Bonnie N. Hackler
Ms. Hackler began her career with Hall Estill in 1999. Over the past 12 years, she has developed a diverse litigation practice with an emphasis in bankruptcy litigation and creditor’s rights. She also frequently counsels clients on electronic discovery issues. During her career, Ms. Hackler has represented individuals, small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. She has represented clients nationwide in virtually every industry including, aviation, banking, health services, hospitality, oil and gas, and telecommunications. She has also represented chapter 7 and chapter 11 debtors, chapter 7 panel trustees and court-appointed examiners. She is frequently asked to speak at seminars on various litigation topics.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Hackler has been named a Best Lawyer in America in Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law, as well as an Oklahoma Rising Star in Bankruptcy & Debtor/Creditor Rights by Super Lawyers. In addition, in 2011, she was named to the Tulsa 40 by the Tulsa Business Journal as an achiever under 40 in the Tulsa community.
Ms. Hackler is a member of the Bankruptcy Sections of the Tulsa County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Bar Association, as well as a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. She is also a member of the National Association of Credit Management, the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, and the Tulsa Women Lawyers Association.
In addition to being a member of the Oklahoma bar, Ms. Hackler is admitted to practice in the following federal courts: Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, and United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Ms. Hackler is very involved in the firm’s pro bono program, regularly assisting Chapter 7 debtors in their bankruptcy filings. She is involved in numerous other civic organizations, including Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Oklahoma. Further, she is also involved with her daughter’s school, where she currently serves as the PTA Treasurer for the 2011-2012 school year.
